What is a Good Place?

A “Good Place” is anywhere we experience life the way God intends it in these three realms: people, organizations, and communities. 

People Flourish

People experience a life of purpose, meaning, and fulfillment. We care and honor each other as equally valuable persons—sharing joy in and through our work.

Organizations Thrive

Organizations experience a collective alignment of people, systems, and resources toward fulfilling a shared purpose in an effective, healthy, and sustainable way. 

Communities Prosper

Communities experience safety, well-being, and opportunities for growth—making the world and the places we live better through our work and providing for one another. 

What is a Good Place Organization?

For an organization to be a Good Place organization, it must be striving to achieve three foundational aims: valuing people, building up Good Places in communities, and being economically regenerative.

Values People

Good Place organizations value people by honoring and respecting one another as all created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27). They train, develop, and empower their people to build a culture and community of organizational life together. 

Builds up Good Places in Communities

Good Place Organizations make the world a better place by impacting the communities where their people live and work. They do this not only through financial resources but through the very nature of their organization’s services, products, methods, or influence. 

Economically Regenerative

Good Place Organizations are financially sustainable in that surplus funds are reinvested back into itself and its members to enhance health, growth, and innovation. The motivation isn’t for profit alone, but for profit to value more people and build up more Good Places.
