GPI Purpose

Internally to GPH and GPH Member-organizations, GPI exists to steward, curate, guard and protect the Good Place philosophy, principles, values, culture, methods, and tools throughout the Good Place Holdings enterprise.

Position Purpose
This role will partner with the President of Good Place Institute (GPI) in the development, enhancement, and advancement of GPI product and service offerings, tools and methods which are designed to help build up Good Place organizations. This role will deliver GPI services to both internal and external clients through training, consulting, coaching, and facilitation.

Key Responsibilities
This role will work closely and in partnership with the President to:

  • Help develop and advance GPI product and service offerings including but limited to assessments, training and facilitation (online and in-person), certification training and community, consulting and coaching tools and templates, the book and related publications, speaking engagements, etc.
  • Deliver GPI educational, training, and consulting service and product offerings to internal (GPH) and external clients to equip leaders and build up Good Place organizations.
  • Assist with strategy and stewardship planning of the GPI business, specifically product and service offerings roadmap.
  • Assist with stewarding, curating, guarding, and protecting the Good Place philosophy, principles, values, culture, methods, and tools throughout the Good Place Holdings enterprise.
  • Help implement and assist with ensuring the application of the Good Place philosophy, culture, and aims, and the implementation of The Good Place Organization Operating System internal to GPH and GPH organizations.
  • Help develop and/or manage client proposals, presentations, follow-up communications, relationships.
  • Help with identifying, connecting, and ongoing relationships with complimentary organizations.
  • Identify, understand, and keep GPI aware of the marketplace of ideas, movements, initiatives, events, complimentary organizations, and the like, regionally, nationally, and globally, as it relates to Good Place principles and philosophy.
  • Generate and brainstorm ideas and strategies for growth, innovation, and positive change to improve efforts and promote the GPI brand, products, services, and initiatives.
  • Represent The Good Place Institute on social media, at various events, and in the community including but not limited to academic institutions, conferences, associations, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Organizational Leadership/Development, or related field.
  • Effectively managing systems and processes, and valuing and developing people.
  • Project management.
  • Team building.
  • Training, education and/or consulting service offering development and delivery.
  • Client proposal and/or project report writing.
  • Management consulting and/or strategic planning facilitation, a plus.
  • Digital, social media, and/or live communication and events.
  • Organizational design and development, a plus.
  • Client relationship management, a plus.

Work Conditions

  • The work for this position is conducted indoors, in a conventional office environment, in an office, with low noise.
  • Some travel required, mainly regional and/or domestic.

Physical Demands
While working, the ability to:

  • perform work at a desk for extended periods of time, typically at least 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, sometimes more or less if business needs require;
  • occasionally lift objects up to 25 lbs; and
  • regularly hear, see, and talk; and occasionally stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, and climb throughout the day.
