What is a Good Place?

What makes something good? Intrinsically, we all have a basic understanding of what makes something or someone good. Good people are loving, generous, honest, and kind. Good experiences are joyful, fulfilling, satisfying, and rewarding. Good things are helpful, useful, supportive, and beneficial. These similar characteristics and qualities are what make it good. We believe the idea of what makes something good didn’t just happen by accident. It’s part of a larger design for how our world was meant to be—it’s God’s design, and we find it throughout the Bible, God’s Word. Therefore, we define a “Good Place” as anywhere we experience life the way God intends it in these three realms: people, organizations, and communities.
