Course Overview
This course gives organizational leaders an opportunity to explore and learn the why, the what, and the practical application of the organizational building blocks of the how in order to build, lead, and steward Good Place organizations and culture. Leaders will learn to view leadership, work, organizational life and design, and business success from a Biblical worldview.
This course equips leaders with tools and resources that align with Biblical principles and values that aim at achieving the three main aims of a Good Place organization:
- Valuing people in a way that allows them to flourish, experience shalom, and develop their full potential.
- Building up Good Places in the communities where we work and live through the organization we lead.
- Being economically regenerative.

Leaders will build an awareness and understanding, and learn how to use and apply The 10 Areas of Stewarding a Good Place Organization which are designed to work together to fulfill the aims of Good Place organizations.
Key Outcomes
At the conclusion of this course, the attendees will have learned:
Biblical view of work and organizational life
A holistic view of why and how to build, lead, operate, and steward a business and/or organization aimed at Good Place success criteria
The Biblical foundation of Good Place and Good Place organizations
The why (Biblically derived), what (principles and values), and how (understanding and applying the tools and methods) of The 10 Areas of Stewarding a Good Place Organization, the organizational building blocks to build and lead a Good Place organization
Understanding and practical application of the major 5: Charter, Leadership, Managing Systems, Training, Stewardship Planning
Awareness, understanding utilization of Managing Systems to apply the minor 5: Managing Innovation, Financial Management, Internal and External Communication, Business Formula, Community Engagement

Class 7: Leadership in a Good Place Organization
Class 8: Managing Systems 1 – Leadership, Major Systems, and Purpose

Time
- In-Class: 15 classes of 1.5 hours each
- Out-of-Class: Application Project (optional) – approximately 1 hour per class
